THE NEED: NATIONAL TV-SPOT

AMC came to us with an opportunity to create a series of national TV-spot, teasing the release of season 7B, which some were viewed during the Packers vs Falcons NFC Championship. The creative challenge was to only use still photography to tell a story of rising hope, and the camaraderie that will be needed to overcome adversity.

THE NEED: ADVERTISING

The release of season 7B was highly anticipated. The key was the charters rise from a debilitating encounter with Negan, and working together to rise up against a dangerous adversary.

THE STRATEGY

The objective is to drive live tune-in for the 7B premiere event. In order to bring excitement for the premiere, we presented the promise of something new, powerful and compelling. The opening weekend generated 12 million viewers with 7.3 million in the adults 18-49 demo. They had a much larger standing than Season 6 and Season 7A Premiers.

THE NEED: SOCIAL ADVERTISING

AMC came to us with an exciting social idea that needed to be flushed out and tied into the rest of the digital campaign in keeping continuity through the digital experience.

The drive was to showcase all the characters and communities they live in. it all tied together under one message… to RISE UP.

THE STRATEGY

We centered the social campaign on 2 points.

1. Convey that Rick and his group are ready to rise up, and fight for their freedom, in order to win, they must build one community.

2. To bring awareness to the factions that have developed in TWD, and the characters that keep them connected. Using emotionally driven messages that convey hope, strength, and unity.

AMC first came to us with a social campaign, that opened a door for us to work on their nationally syndicate tv-spots, while simultaneously giving us their digital ad campaign. Their excitement on all levels of their campaign strengthens our resolve to further develop high impact executions.
